We are excited to announce a new partnership with East Lake Initiative, a non-profit devoted to developing and empowering the under-resourced community of East Lake. In partnership with ELI, Christ Church Fine Arts is establishing a sister school, the East Lake School of Fine Arts. We will be offering private lessons in piano, violin, woodwinds, guitar, and drums for children in the East Lake community at affordable rates. We look forward to building relationships within the community and giving kids the chance to discover their creativity in music and the arts!
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Starting in March 2017, we will hold lessons at the East Lake Initiative office at 7504 Division Avenue on Tuesdays during daylight hours. We would love to build an inviting, safe environment for kids by having volunteer parents hang out at the office during lesson times. If you are interested in volunteering to be a “school parent” on one or multiple Tuesdays, please contact Bob Taylor at [email protected]
At last year’s Music Camp, our Christ Church School of Fine Arts campers raised over a thousand dollars to support the start of the East Lake School of Fine Arts. In order to provide affordable rates for area families, the school is subsidized by your generous donations.
